Pursuant to the Code of Virginia § 63.2-1509, teachers and all other persons employed by Frederick County Public Schools, who have reason to suspect that a child is abused or neglected, must by law report the matter to the Frederick County Department of Social Services or the Virginia Department of Social Services. The report must disclose all information that forms the basis of the suspicion of child abuse or neglect. Any person who fails to report a suspicion of child abuse and neglect as required by law may be fined.
